It is an incredible privilege to partner with Australians to help families with seriously sick and injured children, their testimonies, resilience and optimism in the face of tragedy is equally humbling and as it is inspiring.  Little Windmills is a small charity with a big heart whose work I am incredibly proud of.

Shaun and his wife Theresa (who is camera shy) founded Little Windmills in 2014 (with the help and support of a passionate volunteer board of directors), after sampling first-hand the costs and time associated for country people to access a major hospital in a larger cities when emergencies strike.

Shaun and Theresa have both volunteered their time over the years and taken on auxiliary employment to ensure Little Windmills survival in Australia’s competitive charity sector, particularly through the pandemic.

They have enjoyed helping seriously sick and injured children, families displaced through natural disasters and reaching young people from the country with a positive men’s health message through the Stockman Rugby program.

Shaun Mackin is an experienced CEO with over 10 years leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector. His background in the financial sector and genuine care for people is vital to the work we do at Little Windmills.
