“Little Windmills is a literal little ray of sunshine for our rural and remote families. Working in the Queensland children’s hospital in Brisbane we have many families who have to temporarily relocate to the city to support their children who need tertiary medical services. This is not only a huge emotional drain but impacts heavily financially for our families. Little Windmills charity offer some financial support to families who find themselves unexpectedly facing a medical crisis and can take a little of the load to ease the burden. Knowing there is a charity designed to support families specifically from rural and remote areas reduces the sense of isolation and reinforces the sense of community that living remotely offers.”
